I have just finished painting a room and the paint is cracking and peeling in some corners and flat areas. What could be the cause? Is it because those areas might have been too heavy with paint to dry properly? Also, how do i fix this?

Did you use primer? What tpye of paint did you use? Did you paint on drywall or over something else?
I primed drywall and then painted with latex paint. I don't know if it was because it was too cool in the room or maybe I put the paint on too thick. It was sprayed on with a Wagner sprayer.
Did you do any kind of stainig or varnishing in that same room with the wagner or someother type of equiptment?
It sounds as if you got it on to heavy and you are getting what is called mud cracking. It is caused by the top of the paint drying faster than the bottom and then the paint cracks like mud in the sun.
I would sand thoes areas to make sure the paint is tight on the wall and then skim the areas with drywall mud to fill in the cracks and spot prime the repaired areas and apply a finish coat of paint. You most likely will have to paint the entire room if you have alot of bad spots and I would use a brush and roller on this coat.
