hey there, i'm totally not the fix at home type of person...anybody know of a way to fix a long crack all the way along the quarter round to the wall ?? i'm thinking scraping or sanding the rough edges that have broken away from the wall then filling them with some kind of filler ?? then painting ?? is this what i should be doing ?? please help or give suggestions

your on the right track i would scrape sand get of any thing that is not sound. i would then spot prime let it dry a day then use a spackle over the crakes and then sand smooth 180 -220 grit then prime again i would use a water based enamel undercoater. i am being extra careful with the priming before and after but if this isnt done correct this crack will be back . i would paint the hole wall im sure its time for a color change any way.
