Anyone heard of this?Up tp 10 times thicker than painting.We have redone our main house and guest house,we'd like to now.Thinking about a few outbuildings that we are going to convert into storage and garages.Exterior is oil based paint about 12 years old.
Were going to have someone strip it or sandblast it.
Until I have heard of this.Now we'd like more info.

I think what you are looking for is Textured Coatings of America.They make Tex-Cote Super-Cote home exterior systems.
Yes,it is 10 times thicker and if properly applied it will be warranteed for as long as you own your home.Now seeing as its an outbuilding it may not waranty that.
Has been tested to withstand 40 years of exposure.
You can get both the smooth and textured systems and it can be applied right over the existing stuff with little to no prep working on the existing.

No,our main home and guest houses are on Real half logs with the Sikkens product.Im not worried about these out buildings not matching because they are about half a mile away from the house and arent visible from the house,it is where we keep and store misc items.
We are just learning this right now and 1 guy is in training for it.

Please bear in mind when you hear about these wonder products that they are only as good as what they are going over. If that old oil based paint peels off everything on top of it will come off as well. Also the added weight of that much paint can make it peel also.
