Please Help;
I want to get rid of my popcorn ceiling is there any easy trick to it? I was thinking of just scraping the ceiling with a large scraper. Someone said to spray it first with water but that sounds even more messy what do you guys think? Thanks Kim

Use an garden atomizer that you find at ********** to moisten the popcorn. Spray it, let it sit 5 minutes and spray again. Use a 6" paint scrapper and the popcorn should come off very easy. The job is a bit messy but if you try to dry scrap the popcorn off the ceiling you will tear up the drywall and then you will have a harder time spackling (plus old popcorn was known to contain asbestos). Once ll popcorn is down, put a skin coat of spackle, sand, prime and paint.
