We're getting our popcorn ceilings scraped and textured to match the walls. We're also getting our walls painted (some of them currently are wallpapered). I've been told to make sure they float the seams. What does that mean?

That term is used to float drywall mud on the wallpaper seams,or the seams where 2 sheets of wallboard come together. This will make for a better finish so you won`t see any lines or bumps after you paint.
