We are investigating the possiblity of moisture problems in the Masterbath Room if we use a flat vs satin finish on the textured walls. This is new construction and it was pointed out to me by a friend that her textured bathroom walls hold the moisture.

Or, is there a sealer that can be used once the flat is applied to keep the texture moisture proof?

Thanks

Dian

In a bathroom you will want to use a satin or as some paint companies call it eggshell because of the moisture. This would be the case even if you have smooth walls. Before you apply the finish paint you will want to prime the walls with an acrylic primer to get the best looking job.
