I am having a problem choosing a color to paint the 2 drywalls in a room where the other walls as well as the ceiling is paneled in knotty pine. I think that I am only going to paint half of the wall and then put crown molding up, matching the base of the window. But what should the accent color be? I don't want it to be too bright, because this is a rental and it needs to be semi-neutral. Please help!

You might also want to take into account the size of the room - lighter colors tend to open a room up. Why not pick a favorite color and then use a subdued shade of that color? Good luck - I too find the picking of paint color difficult. I usually buy small cans of a few different colors and try them out - living with them in different lights and then deciding - never quite looks the same on the wall as that little paint chip sample the give you. Good luck. Ginny
