I was considering removing my old (40yrs) wood shingle siding and installing "veneer stone" like the king available from Eldorado Stone. I have seen this type of material installed on fireplaces as a DIY....was wondering if indeed this could be a DIY project and anyones thoughts on this type of material for siding. Any other recommened manufacturers?? The current siding as I said is 40yrs old- warping, cracking and splitting and a majority of it definitely needs replaced not just patched. Any ballpark estimates on cost for a ranch house ~50ft wide by 35 ft deep (~1800 sq ft house).
