my home was built in 1938. i pulled down the wall paper in the 1/2 bathroom downstairs. under several coats of paper, paint, and what appears to be cloth there are bare clean plaster walls. I was hoping to take advantage of this finish by doing some kind of stain or lime wash to keep it looking organic. is there such a thing as a plaster stain or something similar?
