I have an antique white colored bedroom set made out of what I think is presswood. I placed a stick on tape to hang an item on the headboard but when I tried to remove the tape I had to use a multi-purpose remover to remove the tape residue which took off the paint. What kind of paint can I use to cover up the white blotches. I have tried everything I can think of (spray paint, home interior paint, and nothing covers up the white blotches.
