I have may paneling that has been painted when we bought the house> I hate the way it looks. I have tried to fill the groves I used a wood filler. It is dry and now what should I do I wish I could have some type of texture because I am afraid the lines will show can anyone help me?

There are basically two ways to do this:

1. Fill in all of the grooves, sand flat, texture, prime, paint.

2. Drywall over the paneling, texture, prime, paint.

The drywall will give you a smoother, more professional look particularly if you're working with very thin, inexpensive paneling since it tends to warp.
