I live in the Gunderson Historic District in Oak Park, Il. So many, many houses have the large 16" french method shingles and many, many others have the 2 or 3 tab Hex shingles that were made by I think Flintkote.
I used the 16" ones on my garage and now we have to do the house, perhaps 30-35 squares give or take.
Globe made these but they're gone and Owens made the ones I have on the garage, but they aren't on the website.
So are these made and by whom? CertenTeed makes a poor copy with a fake shadow line, but it's not the same.

So, where do I find these today? If they aren't made, how do we get them made again? They were so much more attractive than what's made now. From what I've read, the Hex's lasted longer due to the shape so maybe they were too good. I don't know.
