Can i paint a range hood from beige to black or silver and what is the best paint to use. Can u give me a step by step procedure to paint a range hood?

Clean
Degloss (remove shiny finish)- Can be done with chemicals or with fine sand paper of steel wool.
Prime with an adhesive primer
Paint with appliance paint.
