I painted some ceiling tiles. We decorate them for cork boards but the problem I'm having is, they are blochy. I used a primer. The guy at lowes said to use a white primer if we are going to use a light color spray paint and gray if we are going to use a dark spray paint. For some reason it looks like oily spots. We did an all black board and you can see it through the black. Please help!! Thank you

What kind of primer did you use?

The gray primer is, valspar basic colors interior/exterior. The white primer is kilz original interior oil-base sealer stainblocker. Do I need a primer? What brand should I use? Thanks

If the tiles are new you do not really need an oil based primer. It may be better to just paint with just the latex finish paint.

Oh ok. The ones that I already painted is their any way to cover up the bloches? Should I just throw them out? Can I use a spray gun with the latex finish paint? Sorry so many questions. Thanks

You could prime the entire surface with a latex primer and recoat with the latex finish paint. Latex paint can be sprayed but only larger sprayers work well with latex so you will be better off rolling the tiles in my opinion.
