We recently bought a house where the walls had a thick concrete stipling design on all of the walls. We did not like this look, and wanted basic painted walls. Our contractor suggested nailing drywall onto the existing walls and then painting. The other suggestion was to level the existing walls with compound. He did not recommend this approach since he said it will crack with time.
It is now less than 3 months since the work is complete and I am seeing nail heads popping out where the sheet-rock was put on. Is this normal? Can we ask of him to correct this?
