As a first-time ceramic floor do-it- yourselfer, I put down a little too much quick set mortar for the first couple of tiles and the mortar pushed up around the tile when it was set in place and sits higher than the tile surface in some places (for some reason I didn't notice it at the time). Is there any tool or recommendations to get in the spaces between the tile to carve out this excess mortar before I grout (obviously the mortar is hardened)?
