I am in the process of building my new home. It is a semi-custom home, but the builder will not let me bring in an outside contractor to put my flooring down or change my countertops. I would like to know if it is ok (and what i should have the builder do, if anything special) to replace the flooring AFTER settlement.

Also, which is better to put down wonderboard or a wetboard (wetfloor??). And is marble good to put in the foyer area or is there a better material?
