I recently removed the carpet from my living room and found beautiful ohea hardwood floors. My problem is the paint around the perimeter of the room as well as specks of paint all over the floor. I tried paint stripper but it seems to be removing the polyurethane as well as the paint. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to remove the paint from my floors. Thanks

I have heard that fingernail polish remover will remove the paint, I have to admit I thought no way, So I tried it and needless to say I was impressed. My floors are from the 50's era so they do not have polyurethane on them. I would recommended if you try this do it in a area that is not seen. I am not sure what event it would have on polyurethane
