My wife and I are having problems with our hardwood floors. When moved into the house last year, we had the floors resurfaced by a reputable company. I now seem to have some shrinkage (noticeable because of gaps) and subsequent sqeeking whne you walk on it. Is there some way of getting rid of the squeeks from above or below? Help!

I've seen it done where,if you can get under the floor, use shims between the floor joist and the wood floor. If you can reach from a basement, that would be great, if you have a crawl space to get under the floor, it's a little tighter area to work in, but can be done.
