I am having trouble removing residual grout left on the face of glazed ceramic tile. Are there any techniques or products available to help me out?

I mix water and muratic acid in a wea solution and mop it on then wash off with water. for old dry grout you can mix it stronger and scrape it off. wear gloves and keep out of eyes

jerry_sr, will that damage the existing grout? (I'm assuming it's been recently installed, and there's bits of grout left over on the tile.)

I never leave the acid on there long. the residue usually comes right off. then rinse with plain water, let dry for two or three days and seal. So far I know of no damage to the rest of the grout and have been doing it for years.
