What's the best way to remove stains caused by Murphy's Oil Soap product from my hardwood floors? My cleaning people poured the Oil Soap onto the floor, then mopped it directly into the floor. It has created a very dull finish on my floor. Any suggestions as to how to clean it up to its original shine?

Thanks!

Hi Neeky,
You might try calling 1-800-486-7627 which is a help line for Murphy's.The directions on the bottle say that it removes wax build up.I am assuming that whatever finish was on the floor is now gone, however, give them a buzz and lets us know the outcome.

Buff it...the oil soap will leave a dull haze. Take a bath towel and a lot of elbow grease, buff the floor like you would wax your car.

I agree with DH. I don't use MOS for this very reason...it always leaves a residue behind that has to be buffed out.
