Bvflooring
Six months ago I removed the carpet in my home and had the hardwood floors refinished. Recently I noticed squeaking and cracking noises when certain areas of the floor are walked on. Also, when I step barefoot where two board ends meet, I can feel one end of the board push down slightly. I have complete access to the floor from my basement. How can I fix the squeaks and board movement?

Thank you in advance.

Dear Ipeck,
See post on 12 Feb. " old rising floor and rising nails". This is the best method I've had for squeeky floors. It's simple, fast and it works. You could try it from below, but it is a royal pain in the fourth point of contact.
