Hello, I live on the top floor in order to escape noises from above. However the couple who moved in BELOW is LOUD (voices, television, phone conversations, walking). What are my options? It is an apartment so will not be able to do (too much) structurally. Carpet, acoustic tiles, thick foam, more thick foam. What do you think?? Thanks!!

Dear sfm,
I believe there exists a sound deadning carpet pad you can have installed, but I do not know where to obtain it. Hang loose and I will talk to my flooring guy. Meanwhile, if your downstairs neighbors are too noisy, try talking to them.
