We are finishing off our basement which has a concrete slab floor, we will eventually be carpeting most of it, except around the outside door and the bar where we will us ceramic tile and in the laundry room where we will us some type of vinyl tile. In the mean time we want to either paint the floor (using an epoxy based paint) or seal the floor (using???) in order to keep the dust down. My question is are we better off painting or sealing? And if sealing is the way to go, what type of sealer should we use?
Thanks for any information

Care should be taken when using any sealers in areas where other glue down floor coverings are going to be applied. You may have problems with glue down carpet or vinyl floor coverings not adhering well to the sealers.
