Bvflooring
I have been very lucky with the condition of my old growth pine floors....all except the future kitchen....over the years, linolium flooring has been installed above the wood flooring with tar used as the adhesive......Hours of scraping off tar does not even seems to do much......Could you please recommend the best way to clean the tar off the floor so that we may attempt to bring back a truly beautiful aspect of the original construction?

The only way youll get this up is to sand the floors and refinish them, you could use a paste remove and remove a large portion of the tar but sanding after the paste was removed would still be required.

Hope this helps
