Bvflooring
I'm installing a wood laminate floor in my basement. I have the foam alreayd, but should I be putting down something else too? I know I should have a vapour barrier but waht can I use for the floor? I have a larg roll of plastic that will cover the floor.. but it fits very loosly and is very crumply.

Any help ASAP would be great.

Aren't there manufacturers instructions for this? I would also be concerned with the relative humidy in the basement area. If it has a tendancy to be too damp this type of flooring may not be suitbale for the location.

How old is the foam? For the last several years, the foam has the vapor barrier built in. If you have the plastic sheet, it wont hurt to use it. Dont worry about wrinkles, it'll flatten out.
