Any advice on putting 4 1/4 tile in the shower I just installed in the basement. 32x48 base. The model house display used greenboard. So what to do. I bought a tape that shows tiling and explains the undercoat to use for each and they showed tiling on greenboard.

green board will work fine,but 1/2 backer board is the best.good luck

I agree with carpetman but you should also look into a product called Hardibacker...it is designed for areas that have a high moisture potential, also it is easier to work with than concrete board (won't crumble as easily)
