I am thinking about installing Durastone overtop of my ceramic tile because I do not want to remove the ceramic. I'm a little nervous about it because I'm hearing and reading complaints about problems with the seaming of the tiles. Does anyone have experience with putting Durastone over ceramic? The company I'm dealing with said they will float the floor to make a smooth surface and put a sealer on top to fill in the seams. I would still like someones opinion. Thanks.

i have heard from my congo rep. this tile is to be discontinued.lots and lots of problems..however if you want to risk it,and you are using a contractor (not just an installer)then what they suggust will work. good luck
p.s. i must also say while it would work i dont think its a good idea. much better to rip up the old tile.
