I removed the linoleum in my kitchen to put down ceramic tile. There is a paper backing left from the linoleum on the concrete subfloor. It is smooth and I have removed some of the paper with my scraper, but not all. Is it necessary to remove all of the paper before I tile? If so, what is the easiest way to do this? Thanks.

you want to get off as much as possible, try putting boiling water on it,be aware that if the vinyl is older than 1986 it contains asbestos ,DONT SAND...good luck
