- Access Panel In Wood Flooring
I have installed pre-finished Eterna wood flooring (Natural) and have a need to install an access panel in a very visible location. The opening needs to be approximately 12"x12". Does anyone have a suggestion of a pre-made access panel that would look good in this scenario? Having a recessed top on the access panel that would allow me to insert the 3/4" flooring to give the same look would be preferred.
when we install wood flooring in peoples homes ,we often run in to an entry to a crawl space . we just nail(or glue) the hardwood to the existing trap door(keep the gap as small as possible,)we also do a trim around the opening,and the edge of the trap door.goodluck
I appreciate the reply. The access panel does not exist at this time and needs to be cut in and installed. That was why I was hoping to find a pre-manufactured access panel that worked with the wood flooring. All that I have come accross are plastic or metal and don't lend well to adding wood on top. I was hoping to avoid creating one of my own.
