Bvflooring
I just removed my linoleum floor in my kitchen and intend to install ceramic tile.

Under the linoleum I found an underlayment called "Multiply". This is 1/4" thick, looks like plywood and appears to be stapled to the floor. There is already cement in the gaps between the boards. The website of the manufacturer of Multiply says that this can be used for underlayment for ceramic tile.

Does this sound correct? Can I lay ceramic tile right on top of this?

Thanks.

you can,but what i would do is install 1/4" backerboard on top of your plywood, that will make for the best installation
you might also want to check whats under the 1/4" plywood ,you may find another layer of lino......good luck
