Under the linoleum I found an underlayment called "Multiply". This is 1/4" thick, looks like plywood and appears to be stapled to the floor. There is already cement in the gaps between the boards. The website of the manufacturer of Multiply says that this can be used for underlayment for ceramic tile.

Does this sound correct? Can I lay ceramic tile right on top of this?
