I am using 20 6x6 tiles to surround 2 12x12 tiles to create a pattern. How many tile do I need of each to cover 345 sq ft?

one way to figure the amount of tile you need is to figure out how many you need in a set area i.e a 5' x 5' or 25 sf.
if i understand what you are doing you will need 82..6x6 and 12..12x12 per 25 sf of area
so if you take your 345 sf devided by 25 you will need aprox 14 times the the amount of tile to cover 25sf.of 1148 ea.of the 6x6,and 168 ea of the 12 x 12. i would add an additional 5% to 10% beacause you layout will vary

Thanks so much for your help with the tile count. Now it's full speed ahead with laying the tile. Wish me luck!
