Need to remove carpet which was glued to a beautiful hardwood floor. Any speedy way to accomplish this? Chemical use is an option. Would prefer not to have to refinish entire floor.

Sorry to tell you the bad news, but you need to scrape and then refinish the hardwood. No easier way I know of.

Thanks. But is there anything possible to help speed things up? Have a 9mth old and no where to keep her occupied.

is this a rubber back carpet? or a regular back carpet? (no rubber just the glue)

It appears to be carpet that has the padding attached and id glued to the floor. I can see the trowel marks.
