We are going to use the engineered BR111 hardwood floor and float it. We are going to put 6 mil down first then our underlayment with a moisture barrier, then float the floor over it. The pieces are snap together but require glue since they kinda slid together and not snap.

We got the BR111 with Alloc underlayment (its shiny like foil), both for 3 dollars a square foot. Does this sound about right? We have 15 boxes of it sitting in out living room aclimating. We will be installing on Friday...

Thanks for all of the help,

I didn't know you could float the BR111 product. Oh I see..they have an engineered wide plank now. Good Luck and let us know how it went together.
