I would like to tile a 2nd floor bathroom that has vinyl in it. The hall next to it is carpeted. The underlayment will raise the tile floor above the carpeted hall? How do I smooth out that transition?

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks, I think that is what I will do.

What is the thinnest underlayment I can put under the tile of this 2nd story bathroom?
