Bvflooring
I have recently purchased a 1915's home where the previous owners installed a staircase with a white-washed pickled finish. The stairs are made of oak flooring. I would like to stain the landings a walnut and paint the risers white. Can anyone suggest the easiest method for removing the pickled finish on the landings so that the stain will take and not look blotchy.
