I'm trying to remove 3/4" hardwood planks to expose original wide-board heart pine beneath. I'd like to salvage the hardwood floor I'm removing for use in other rooms of the house. My initial attempts to remove the flooring with a crow bar and hammer have only resulted in split & broken boards. The planks are tongue & groove and stapled. Any suggestions about how the floor can be removed without ruining it?
