removing vinyl flooring

I'm trying to remove vinyl plank flooring that is glued to a concrete subfloor, but the flooring breaks up into pretty small pieces. Is their a better way to remove the floor besides a hammer and chisel. At this rate, I will be here for weeks.

Is it vinyl that looks like wood?
There are machines that look kinda like a sod cutter, that installers use, maybe you can rent one.

if the floor will only come up in small pieces,you might concider laying your new floor over the old one ( use a floor patch to bring back to level what has been removed) .....good luck
