After the stairs were refinished, I thought I could retack the sisal back wihtout paying a carpet installer. I wasn't able to find the type of staple and stapler that the sisal had previously been tacked down with. Used a wire staple - not good, can't get it into the wood all the way and now they're pulling out, sisal is looseniing in places.What to do?????

I figured you'd say that..only problem is the sisal is in such bad condition, and money is tight, I don't know if it's worth the cost - thanks, appreciate your sucinct advise
