Should I use thinset or liquid nails to secure hardibacker to a 2nd floor bathroom? I will be putting 12" ceramic tiles on top of it.

Also, what kind and length of screws should I use to secure the hardibacker?

you can use thinset or acrilic mastic, the screws are sold where you purchased the backerboard, they should be coated backerboard screws, not a drywall screw....good luck
