We are renovating an old house and there is peeling and chipping paint on some of the walls, trim and doors (all interior). Do we chip away the paint and then have an indentation where the paint was? Do we fill in the indentation with drywall compound (even though some of the walls are plaster) or something else? We have seen some old homes which look so newly painted. How do we achieve that look?
