I have to small patches to remove (both approx 4x4 ft) in my entryways. I am wondering if a heat gun would soften the adhesive enough to make this easier?
What do you all think?

the heat gun might help,but when installing new lino/sheet vinyl it almost always pays to install new underlayment,when you scrape up the old lino,you end up damaging the old undelayment,when we do an install we almost allways pull up the old lino and underlayment together then start with new underlayment.......good luck
