My question is, What is the best way to finish the area where a wood floor will meet the metal track on a sliding glass door. I know to leave a 3/4 to 1/2 space between floor and wall, what about in front of the sliding glass door where it can not be covered with base and shoe? Also is it better to lay the wood 90 degrees to the door so end grain is to the metal? This project is over concrete and the wood is 3/4 Brazillian Cherry. If any one has any advise, Im all ears.
