I'm redoing my kitchin floors with ceramic tile. My current vinyl floors match my wood floors perfectly. since tile is thicker than vinyl I'm going to have to redo the subflooring so the tile will be level with the wood floor. What material should I use to prepare for tile. I've heard that I should use cement board but I've also seen tile board being used. Personally, I've only tiled over plywood and I've never had a problem. The house was built in the 60's so the floors are pretty level and solid. What do y'all recommend?
