2 problem floors - no money or time

1 - brick red vinyl tile

2 - light gray reportedly asbestos tile

Can either be stripped and stained and then re-finished? I can always test a small area, but I figured I'd ask first...

What kind of stain / floor finish would be good to try.

Thanks for any help!

I'm curious to see what answers you get. I, too, have one floor of red brick limoleum (over 9x9 tiles, which are probably asbetos - 1968 house) and one floor of gold brick linoleum over the same tiles ... dip in the middle of that floor which causes a problem as far as laminate wood flooring ... I'm to the point of looking at room size bamboo rugs, but some of the very dated floor would still show.

Good luck! I will keep an eye on your board and let you know if I find out anything, too.
