Bvflooring
I'd like to replace my old sink vanity and put tile flooring over my existing vinyl. I really don't want to spend the money to do them both at the same time. Is there any rule about which should be done first? If I do the tile first, will it mess up when I put a new vanity in? (Assuming it's the same size.)

Thanks!

well, you could tile first as long as the vanity will not be smaller...

I would just tile after...no biggie.

If you really want to save money, then do not install on top of your vinyl.

How will not pulling up the vinyl save us money? What's the harm in just leaving it there?

Thanks for your answer!

I think there is some confusion.

What I said was "if you want to save money...DO NOT install on top of the vinyl"

Tile need stability, and vinyl is not stable enough to have tile directly installed on.
