Self leveling concrete ...

About $30 for 50 pounds. Expensive for a big room but sometimes you have to spend to save work. After you mix it, it looks like water but really does work. ( FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR HOW MUCH WATER )

I also have seen but not used the leveling material ( like above ) for laminate floors. The bag is not clear if you need to level it youself. The two big name home stores carry both ... look in the tile area.

I read your message again and sounds like mobile home or wood subfloor ??

I jumped the gun there, sorry. The concrete is more for a cement floor ( not impossible for wood - read the instructions to see if you meet the requirements to use it )

Does the floor flex at the seam or is it just not level ??

I would consider ..

1) asking the company installing the floor if they think it is something they can do more easily than you.

2) If not flexing and only a little out of level ... sanding the high side in the wood floor level with a belt sander and filling a small gap with a quality adheasive / filler.

3) Going under the house (if you can) and fixing the cause of the problem with a few extra pieces of wood and some screws from the top.

4) 1/4 inch cement board on the entire floor ( not unusual for tile on wood ).

Not really a no work kind of thing.
