I am going to install laminate flooring in my home. The instructions say to use a transition piece when going through doorways. This interrupts the flow of the pattern. Is it really necessary to use a transition piece if the underfloor is smooth and level?

Transitions help the laminate expand and contract per room, instead of the rooms working against each other.

If you use transitions, you will be helping your floor.

If you do not, you still MIGHT be o.k. but it's your choice.
