Bvflooring
Hi, we have VCT floors installed in our utility room, kitchen and master bath. We chose that flooring because my husband is in a wheelchair and we thought a commercial product would hold up under his wheels. Wrong choice though, the tiles are cracking. The floors are in a 1 year new home, with tongue and grove plywood subfloor. We're talking with our builder, but the new home warranty has expired, and It's really not his fault anyway. I think the floor is flexing under the weight of my husband and his chair and causing the tile to crack. I don't think replacing the cracked tile will help if it's a problem in the subfloor. Is there a sealer that we could apply to keep the floor from breaking up any more? I'm afraid the floor will just disintegrate if we don't do something. As soom as I can, in a few years, I'll redo the floors in something else, although what, I don't know. If anyone has any suggestions for repairing the floor, please answer.

It should not be cracking. I know v.c.t. is a great choice for your needs, but the floor is flexing WAY too much.

What you want is a high end commercial laminate floor. That way you can just keep the v.c.t. where it is. less prep work.
