Bvflooring
I am about to lay down pergo, and there is a section of my concrete subfloor that is unlevel and varies by greater than 1/4 inch.

What is a good compund to use to level the floor?

Any other suggestions?

By the way, the unlevel section is odd shaped and filling with a plywood board or cement board is not really an option.

I am not really in the install portion of laminate flooring, so I hope someone else chimes in on this. But I have heard alot of installers saying to feather out with Ardex.

Floorwizard is perfectly correct in suggesting the use of Ardex. Read the guidlines for preping the area, its very inportant to make sure its is done correctly.
